The Role
Provide hands-on integration, testing, and troubleshooting support for hardware, software, networks, databases, and interfaces within the National Airspace System (NAS) and FAA enterprise environments, working alongside engineers, developers, test teams, and FAA stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, integrate, and test hardware, software, databases, and network components in FAA physical and virtual environments, including end-to-end integration testing.
  • Support interfaces between internal, external, and legacy systems (APIs, XML messaging, JMS queues, IP/TDM).
  • Assist with installations, deployments, site readiness, cutovers, and operational transition at FAA facilities.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of multi-system issues and recommend solutions that improve reliability and performance.
  • Develop technical documentation (test plans and reports, ICDs, configuration and deployment procedures) in line with FAA standards and AMS requirements.
  • Communicate status, risks, and results to technical teams and government stakeholders; participate in reviews and demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Math, Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration, systems engineering, testing, or deployment. Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex, multi-component systems, including IP networking, Linux/Windows servers, and databases.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications
FAA/NAS or William J. Hughes Technical Center experience; IP/TDM interfaces; REST/SOAP APIs; XML and JMS messaging; SQL; Linux/Windows Server administration; ICDs and test procedures; test automation; Agile; FAA AMS; mission-critical, high-availability systems.

Background Investigation
Employment is contingent on meeting FAA background investigation, suitability, and facility-access requirements.
